“Communication works for those who work at it.”
John Powell
Boy are we working at communicating!
Jane Sovinski, the LMEF summer intern, has been busy posting reels to Instagram. She brings a fun and fresh perspective to our environmental message. If you don’t follow us, you should! @lakemaxenvironmental.
In addition to elevating our Instagram page, Jane has started a podcast – Lake Max Tracks. The goal is to have new podcasts weekly and there are a couple already published.
- What is the Lake Maxinkuckee Environmental Fund?
- What’s With All the Dead Fish?
- To Compost or Not to Compost?
Just log in to your Spotify account, or create one if you don’t have one, and search for Lake Max Tracks. We will be discussing issues relating to the lake and the surrounding watershed. We would love to hear from YOU as well. If you have a topic or question you would like to hear us talk about, please send us an email lmec@lakemax.org.
How Can You Miss Us?
You can also find us on Facebook @lakemaxenvironmental. I write articles that I post to a blog, the newspaper and Town, Gown and Lake. And I send out a monthly e-newsletter.
Someone recently suggested that I do a better job of sharing our message and information. When I told him all these channels that I am currently utilizing, he was quite surprised. I’m left wondering, how can people MISS getting our message?
Here’s How to Find Us
If you want to know more about environmental issues pertaining to Lake Maxinkuckee, follow us on Instagram or Facebook, read the blog, sign up for the e-newsletter, subscribe to Town, Gown & Lake or the Culver Citizen, or follow our podcasts on Spotify. Let me know if you need help signing up for any of these communication channels.
I THINK we have you covered but I haven’t tried EVERYTHING!
Hi, I’m Debbie Palmer. I received a BS in Horticulture from Purdue University. Here at LMEF, I am responsible for outreach presentations, monitoring the lake and it’s wetlands, project manager for restoration and research projects, and act as a community resource for all things related to the well-being of Lake Maxinkuckee and its surrounding watershed. I completed Indiana Watershed Leadership Academy, volunteer with the Indiana Clean Lakes Program, Hoosier River Watch and Marshall County Lakes and Waters and serve as a Board Member for Indiana Lakes Management Society.
